BLUEFIELD, Va. — "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with the wings as eagles, They shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31Harless (Joe) Cregger, 90, of 114 Blake St., Bluefield, Va., died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. He was born at Cripple Creek, Va. and was a son of the late Andrew Cregger and Bertha Blanche Cregger.Mr. Cregger was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bluefield, Va., served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was retired from Nash Finch in Bluefield, Va.He is survived by his wife, Anna Berta Cregger; son, Paul L. Cregger, Bluefield, Va.; daughters, Nancy S. Wynne, Portsmouth, Va., Sharon Fast, Dean of Bealeton, Va.; grandchildren, Travis Paul Cregger, Angela K. Sterlitz, Allen Wynne, and Matthew Wynne; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brothers, Walter (Bus) Cregger, Ralph Cregger, Havaco, W.Va.; sister, Patricia Peters, Havaco, W.Va.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va. with the Rev. Ray Amos officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memory Gardens.Friends may call Wednesday from noon until the hour of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 200 S. College Ave., Bluefield, Va.
