Funeral services for Glenn Silas LaRose, 78, of Branson, will be Thursday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m. in the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home, Branson, with Dr. Rich Toliver officiating. Burial will follow in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson. Glenn passed from this life to his heavenly home on Nov. 30, 2009. Glenn was born Aug. 22, 1931, in Dallas County, Mo., to Lloyd and Clara LaRose. He graduated from Preston High School in Preston, Mo. Glenn married his only love, Ann, on May 21, 1949, in Harrison, Ark. He retired from Empire District Electric Company in 1993, after 42 years of service. He was a Mason, Boy Scout Leader and was a member of the Kiwanis. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert; and grandson, Silas. Glenn is survived by his wife, Ann, of the home; his son, Joe and wife, Janine, of Springfield; son, Larry and wife, Gaye, of Rogersville; son, Greg, of Branson; daughter, Cheryl LaRose and husband, Tim Critchley, of Branson; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janette Stewart and husband, John, of Bolivar, and Margaret Monteleone and husband, Nick, of Raytown; and one brother, Von Dee LaRose, of Columbia. Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital Memorial Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I know we haven't seen each other for almost 35 or so years, but you will always be a good friend to the "Buzan Girls". Please give my condolences to your family.
