ELYSBURG - Margaret Mae Latsha, 90, of 786 Route 487, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 4:48 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at Columbia-Montour Home Hospice at Maria Hall, Danville.
She was born Dec. 31, 1919, the daughter of the late Paul H. and Bessie M. (Honicker) Conner. On March 28, 1942, in the parsonage of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, with the Rev. Seidel, she married Daniel L. Latsha, who preceded her in death. They remained faithful members of the church for more than 60 years.
Margie had been employed in a factory before her marriage and then was a stay-at-home mom.
She was a member of Rebekah Lodge.
Margie enjoyed embroidery and cooking and baking for her family. Margie was deeply loved by her family and will be missed very much.
She is survived by five children and their spouses, Daniel H. and Susan (Berry) Latsha, of Palmyra, Ronald W. Latsha, of Elysburg, Joyce E. and Russell Griffiths, of Elysburg, Gail E. and Richard Kline, of Selinsgrove, and Kenneth R. and Holly (Zimmerman) Latsha, of Catawissa; seven grandchildren, Aaron Latsha, Kyle Latsha, Ronald G. Latsha, Timothy Griffiths, Matthew Kline, David Kline and Jennifer Creasy; two great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn Kline and Claire Latsha; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one brother, George Conner.
A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Farrow Funeral Directors, Sixth and Chestnut streets, Shamokin, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Mark Brownson officiating.
Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Margie's memory to Trinity E.C. Church, 28 W. Arch St., Shamokin, PA 17872, or Columbia-Montour Home Health and Hospice, 410 Glenn Ave., Suite 200, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
