JOHNSTON, S.C. - Mrs. Ruth Quattlebaum Edwards, 87, wife of the late Jack Edwards, of Lakeview Dr., died Saturday, February 27, 2010, at University Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 2 PM at Johnston United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Mt. of Olives Cemetery. Mrs. Edwards was a native of Saluda, SC and was a member of Johnston United Methodist Church. Survivors include 3 daughters, Jacquelyn Edwards (Fred) Lewarne, Harrison Township, MI, Deborah Edwards Holmes, North Augusta, Melanie Edwards (Tommy) Gibson, Edgefield; 1 son, Steve Radley (Gail) Edwards, Colbert, GA; 1 sister, Lois Maffett, Modoc; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to her church Johnston United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 186, Johnston, SC 29832. The family is at the home on Lakeview Dr. and will receive friends Monday March 1, 2010 from 6 to 8 PM at the home. Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. To all the Edwards Family,
Ruth's passing is very sad for me since I have known her most all of my life. She was such a caring person, sharp dresser and Christian lady. The many kind things she did for Mama are too numerous to mention and she truly helped keep Mama active as long as she lived.
