Dear Jocelyne, my words are late in arriving and for that I apologize. I've been too caught up in my own problems, but late as they are I want to pass them on. Thinking of Claude, what stands out for me was his kindness and honesty, two qualities that shone through. Of course I can't forget the size of his hands! They were hands that could knock you down but instead were used to pick people up. He was always there to help and always did more than his share. I find it hard to believe that we've lost him, but somehow I know his presence will always be close to those of us whose lives have been touched by his. God bless.

Jocelyne,
Brenda and I were deeply saddened to hear of Claude's death. Claude will always be remembered as a fine soldier who gave his all and took great pains to care for those soldiers entrusted to his care, truly an example for those of us who learned under him. More than being a fine soldier he will be remebered as a good man who loved his family and friends. Our prayers go out to you.

Dearest Jocelyne,
My brother-in-law was always ready to lend a hand, offer advice, share his knowledge (on so many things specially History and the Black Watch), he knew how to pick me up when he felt I needed it, be cheeky, poke and prod fun at me and certainly share a good laugh.
I thank you for bringing him into my life he was so special!
We will miss him...already do!
Love Patrick & Zachary

Dear Jocelyn, I was shocked to hear of Claude's death. I rarely saw him over the past 15 years or so but it was always a privilege to be with him. I had the honour or working for him for three years in the QM when he was RQMS and I enjoyed that time with him greatly. He was a great gentleman and a true soldier of the Black Watch. WE will miss him.

Jocelyne,
Claude taught me the value of being honest and always placing the Regiment and Regimental Family first. It is a lesson I have taken with me and spread out here in Calgary as best I could. I will always remember Claude, but I can only see him standing with you. It was always Claude and Jocelyne, never one without the other. He went peacefully as he deserved. My deepest condolences to you and your family at this time.

Dear Jocelyne,
Words cannot express how sad I feel about Claude's untimely passing. He was my recruit section commander in the 3rd Bn The Black Watch back in 1972, and since that first encounter I have always had the greatest respect for him. Claude was a caring man, a fine soldier and a good friends to so many of us. May he rest in peace..
