Mary Beckner Obituary
A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Pastors Bobby and Diann Whetzel officiating. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
Mrs. Beckner was born on March 30, 1911 in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Edgar Picket and Cora Altice Mills. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of the Front Royal Church of the Brethren and had worked in the Slicing Department at FMC.
Mrs. Beckner is survived by her sons, Claude Beckner, Jr. of Strasburg, Aubrey Beckner and wife Mary of Canal Fulton, OH and Tyrone Beckner of Front Royal; her daughter, Bernice Guthrie of Chester; her grandchildren, Ed Beckner, Scott Beckner, Henry Guthrie, Sharon Guthrie, Lisa Valvo, Vicky Coffman, Douglas Beckner, Mark Beckner and Melissa Hannigan; her 14 great-grandchildren and her four great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Scott Beckner, Ed Beckner, Doug Beckner, Henry Guthrie, and Mark Valvo.
