GROVETOWN, Ga. - Hermanette Raley Ford, 65, wife of 37 years of John "Mack" Ford, entered into rest on Monday, April 18, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Platt's Funeral Home Belair Rd Chapel with Chaplain Wayne Bruner officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Mrs. Ford was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved to spend time with her family and was an avid gardener. She also enjoyed cooking and baking cakes. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, John Loran "Buddy" Ford of Atlanta, GA, three daughters, Dax Headley of Grovetown, GA, Enyaw Taylor-Theberge of Augusta, GA, Kimberly Ann Ford of Winchester, KY, two sisters, Mary Ella Lane of Winnsboro, SC, Angela Victoria Fogle and husband Joseph of Columbia, SC, five grandchildren, Hunt and Ford Headley, Chad and Savannah Theberge, and Josh Donta. Pallbearers will be Greg Lane, Brandon Fogle, Chad Theberge, and Matthew Lane. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 at the funeral home. If so desired, memorials may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association of Augusta, 1899 Central Ave., Augusta, GA 30904. I am so sorry to hear about Mama Ford. Holly told my husband about her today and he knew that we were real close in high school. I would have been there if I knew. I loved her a a mother as I loved you as a friend. Please, know that I have you and your entire family in my heart always and prayers.

To The Ford Family: Hermie was a wonderful woman. She had a heart of gold, she would do anything for anyone. Hermie was like a sister to me, she will be missed very, very much. If we can do anything for the family, please call us. We love all of ya'll.
