He loved his children and was a close friend, I miss that friendship. He accomplished a lot fighting the system to improve services for special education programs in our schools, he was unyielding in his fight for services for his children Johnny and Kim who were born with special issues, he won his battles...

I will always remember Butch for his genuine smile, the laugh he had when he was really tickled about something, his devotion to his children and his passion to help others. He loved his 3 kids, and when he spoke of them, he absolutely beamed with pride.
Butch was a good man and I'm proud to have known him and called him a friend.

Dad,
You are my hero! Although these last 4 months have been the most heartbreaking for you ...you still managed to laugh and inspire others daily. I am honored to be your daughter and will carry your legacy as you carried Grandpa's. Your recent gift to me has been a collection of new friends and family as we support each other. You would be proud of how Teri, myself and your Good Will angels are taking care of John:) You would smile and laugh at Kimmy's straight forwardness and be brought to tears to see the difference you made in everyone's life you touched no matter how large or small.
I love you Pops!

Butch was a man with a true heart for others, a trustworthy worker and devoted family man. He loved his kids and others sincerely and unconditionally. Butch always had a warm smile, a handshake or a hug to give away and to brighten your day, even when he was going through tough times. Butch was my friend and also a precious brother in the Lord. He loved Jesus with all of his heart, and now he is forever basking in the love and glory of his beloved Heavenly Father. Earth's loss is Heaven's gain... We will greatly miss you, dear friend!

Butch, you will be missed. Marilee, my step mom, has always spoken so highly of you and how much she adores and looks up to you. Marilee is an amazing woman who is missing you more than anything right now, but your strength lies within her and is helping her cope. Thank you for raising such a great woman. RIP Butch.

I knew Butch in my days working for Klamath Falls Creamery, next to Bechardts Upholstery. We had much fun making and betting on the weekly sports pools. He was kind and fun man. R.I.P. Butch.

Mr. Beckhardt came into my office a few weeks ago and was very suprised that I still worked here. He gave me the adress so I might see the comercial he and his son did for Goodwill. He was very proud of his son and all of his kids. We talked about what had transpired over the last few years. I looked forward to him returning as a customer. R.I.P my name is Butch.

I worked at a bank here in town where Butch banked at, and I remember that he always had a smile and a positive word when he came through my drive up. I always looked forward to seeing his smiling face.

I remember Butch as a man full of love especially for his children. He loved them without queston. They in turn loved him in the same way. Besides his own children he showed compassion for all he met. He will be missed, but we must remember that families are forever.

A very special Angel was called home, his time on earth and his years of hard work that changed how we work and treat children and adults with special needs in Oregon, Left better because of his personal commitmant, hard work and dedication in bringing about positive change in Education and Employment opportunities for those who had been lost in red tape because of poor rule's, regulations and laws that needed to be re-written and changed to protect the rights of those who were being left behind. Butch was God's gift with a very special mission to help those who were unable to help themselfs. He worked and dedicated many years to bring about change and God has rewarded him for a job well done by calling him home and while he will be missed by all who knew him, he is in a much better place and knowing Butch as I did, I know that he will be watching and looking out for all of us, may God bless him and his family, you will be missed old friend, rest in peace. while I can not be at your services in person, my prayers are with you and your family. Until we meet again. Love, Mike O'Brien
