Lue Price Obituary
She was born in Three Rivers, Texas on October 28, 1936 to Peter and Bertha Hicks. She was a housewife and homemaker.
Lue Dell was a very sweet, kind, loving, amazing and simple woman. She never demanded or asked for anything, yet deserved all that was given to her. Her coffee dates were extremely enjoyable to her. If you missed your coffee date with her, she would call to see where you were. Her vegetable garden kept her days busy, but most important was her family. They were her pride and joy, the center of her life. Lue Dell always told her neighbors, ""I am so proud of my kids."" And Lewis, her son, she thought the world of. She will be dearly missed.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her son: Lewis & Mary Cleveland of Odessa; daughter: Lorinda & Wendell New of Odessa; brothers: Herman & Martha Hicks of Sherman, Texas, and Bill Hicks of Odessa; five grandchildren: Ona, Rhonda, Angela, Kevin and Jessica;and eight great-grandchildren.
Lue Dell is preceded in death by her parents: Peter Madden Hicks and Bertha Ann Starnes Hicks; three brothers: T.B. Hicks, L.D. Hicks and Lloyd Hicks; and two sisters: Millie Keene and Rita Smith.
The family will receive friends at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Sunday evening 7:00 – 8:00 pm March 25, 2012.
Funeral services will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel at 10:00 am, Monday, March 26, 2012, officiated by Brother Clydell Chapman.
Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at Belleview Cemetery in Rotan, Texas.
Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and condolences may be sent to the family online at acreswestfuneral.com.

My grandma was the best grandma the Lord gave to me,my sisters and was a great mom to my mom and uncle lewie.She became my best friend and I will miss her dearly.I am exstremely glad that I got to see her in January and got to spend quality time with her.The last thing she told me was she loved me and to go home(illinois) and take care of my babies and not to worry about her she was going to fine.And she was right as always. I will miss not being able to pick up the phone and talking to her for hours before she would tell me she was going to lay down for a nap.
