Ann & Family,
We are sad to read of Don's passing. You had just moved out of your house on Birkshire Dr. in Northgate Park in Peoria, IL. when we moved into 3125 W. Birkshire Dr. in November 1969. We did get to know you when you visited your old neighbors. Diana remembers that Donna was a star softball player. We hope your many happy memories will help you and your family get through this most difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was one of Don's secretaries when he was a VP at Carson Pirie Scott & Co. in Peoria before downstate corporate offices were moved to Chicago. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a fine, upstanding man, and I am honored to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family.

Don was my first supervisor and mentor at Carson Pirie Scott. He hired me after I had completed my military duty and was ready to start my professional career. There was so much to learn and Don was a wonderful and patient teacher. I wish I could have worked with him longer than the seven years we had. My thoughts and prayers are with you Ann and the rest of the family. God Bless.

Don was our business manager here at WEEK when I came to Peoria as GM of the station. Don was my right hand guy for all financial issues and mentored me on the station budgeting process. He was a great guy, good friend to all in the station and ran a very tight and professional ship. He is missed and for all of us at WEEK, we send our deepest sympathies to Don's family.

My thoughts and prayers have been with you for years. Please accept my personal condolences in the loss of Uncle Don. I have alot of happy memories of the holidays spent together when we were just kids at grandma & grandpas. My favorite was when we would sing Christmas Carols from the upstairs through the heat registers.Uncle Don quietly came upstairs and scared the begebers out of us! He didn't even have to say anything - we knew what we needed to stop doing.
My best to everyone. Wish I could be there to give each one of you a hug. I guess I'll just settle for all of you hugging each other an extra time.
My love,
Karen
