Steven M. Smith

Steven M. Smith, age 52 of Bandera, passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 at his residence. He was born June 27, 1959 in Clovis, NM to Donald and Margaret A. (Turner) Smith. Steven was a graduate of Tremper High School in 1977. He retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of service. He served in public affairs at Lackland, Kelly and Randolph Air Forces Bases in San Antonio. He was also president of the Home Owners Association of Holliday Villages of Medina Lake for 6 years. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Smith of Bandera; parents, Donald and Margaret Smith of Universal City; daughters, Jasmine Ann Smith and Ashlee Marie Smith, both of Call, TX and Grace Leda Smith of Bandera; a friend of 28 years and mother of Jasmine and Ashlee, Margaret Farmer and husband, Sonny Farmer; granddaughter, Faithann Smith; sister, Ginny Marie Smith of Converse, TX and niece, Kimberly Nicole Smith.
A service and burial at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Vets, DAV Memorial Program, P.O.
