O'Connor, Sandra L. (Raymond) EAST GREENBUSH Sandra L. Raymond O'Connor, 60, passed away suddenly but peacefully on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at her home. Born on October 15, 1951 in Lowville N.Y., she was the daughter of Joan (Parkhurst) and the late Richard Raymond. Sandy was predeceased by her ex-husband and good friend John Brennan. She was the beloved mother of Steven, Michael, and Daniel (Christina) Brennan; and cherished Grammy of Anna Bess Brennan, and the late Sean Frederick Brennan. She was the sister of James (Kay), David, Susan, Mary-Jo Mushtare (Bruce) and Becky Evans (Eddie). She was the wife of Edward O'Connor; and also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and always considered herself a second mother to Matthew Campbell and Jason Slyer. Sandy was an employee for many years of Quigley's Restaurant, where she was always a source of entertainment for her loyal customers and friends. Sandy was an avid NY Jets and trivia fan, a lover of all animals except spiders. She loved the smell of fresh lilacs and to dedicate all her time and energy to her family and friends, always the best hostess and willing to do anything for anybody. But most of all she loved being a Grammy and her grandchildren were the rays of light in her life. In keeping with her wishes funeral proceedings will be private for the family. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of her life at Quigley's on Wednesday, April 25, from 5 - 8 p.m., 593 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204. For on-line condolences please visit simplechoicescremation.com

Sandy and I were next door neighbors for many years in the late 70's. I have so many happy memories of our times together while raising our young kids. Steven & Michael, you may remember my daughters Kristin & Laurie. Those were days of laughing, sharing and a beautiful friendship. I feel bad we lost contact as I never knew Sandy's married name. I will always smile at the great times we had back then. I am sorry for your loss. It's never easy to lose a mother. Jeanine (Crannell) Falco
