Clarence Nickel Obituary
He was born Jan. 27, 1932, in Arenzville, the son of Clarence F. and Frances M. Davis Nickel. He married Donna Jean Spradlin on Jan. 26, 1953, in Jacksonville, and she survives.
He is also survived by three sons, Kevin (wife, Kimberly) Nickel of Ashland, Jerry (wife, Diane) Nickel of Alexander and Arlin Nickel of Springfield; one daughter, Joyce (husband, Mike) Moore of Ashland; nine grandchildren, Gina (husband, Adolph) Prochazka, Gayla Nickel (fiance, Steve Dennis), Clint (wife, Amy) Nickel, Heather (husband, Jason) Hays, Garrett Nickel, Stephanie (husband, Nathan) Baker, Samantha (husband, Jared) Blimling, Suzanne (husband, Joe) Meggison and Mariah Perry; seven great-grandchildren, Kinze Prochazka, Camden and Wyatt Hays, Nolan Baker, Gage and Adalyn Blimling and Josie Meggison; and one brother, Donald (wife, Virginia) Nickel of Colorado Springs, Colo. He was preceded in death by two brothers, E.E. "Nick" Nickel (surviving wife, Elizabeth of Lake Oswego, Ore.) and James Nickel (surviving wife, Burlene of Bloomington).
Mr. Nickel was a farmer in the Ashland area for many years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held with burial at Arenzville North Cemetery in Arenzville. Memorials are suggested to the Wound Center at Passavant Area Hospital. Williamson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.

Rich and I are thinking of you all and remembering the wonderful times we had with your father. It seems that now all the good ones are gone. In going through my mother's things I came across a picture of CJ eating a burning potato chip taken at a party at our house. If you like, I can have copies made.
