SANCHEZ
Alicia Elizondo Sanchez, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. She was born Sept. 16, 1917 in San Antonio. Alicia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Santiago Sanchez, and three sons, Ricky, Jimmy, and David. She is survived by her son and daughter, Robert Sanchez and Patricia Sanchez Bednarik.
Alicia is also survived by her brother and his wife, Tony and Mary Louise Elizondo, and her sisters, Tommie Cortez and Connie Hodge; another brother, Angel Elizondo, preceded her in death.
Alicia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and will be remembered as a loving and treasured friend for her charm and generosity of spirit.
Jose and Alicia had a family-owned business, the Ritz Cleaners, and they were lifelong members of Shrine of the Little Flower. Both Alicia and Jose were very active volunteers at the VA Hospital and were honored for their service.
She will be forever missed by those who loved her.
A funeral mass will be held, d Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 10:00am, at the Shrine of Little Flower with internment following at San Fernando Cemetary.
