James Geddis III

Geddis, James III STILLWATER James Geddis III, 63, of Stillwater entered into eternal life on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Samaritan Hospital with his loving wife right by his side. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late James E. and Ruth Voellm Geddis and the loving husband of 39 years to Mary Anne Harat Geddis. Jim dedicated 47 years of his life to the hospitality industry, his passion and hard work fueled him in becoming a leader and innovator in his profession. During his down time, Jim enjoyed traveling with his family and friends, watching TV classics, fishing and spending time on Cossayuna Lake. Most of all he enjoyed being in the company of his loving wife Mary Anne and his precious daughter Amy who meant the world to him. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife Mary Anne include his loving daughter, Amy Geddis-Dipietropolo of N.J.; his mother-in-law, Anna Kocan; his siblings, Linda Bell, Richard (Ann) Geddis, Susan (David) Miner, Luanne (Brian) Castle and his brother-in-law, Michael (Donna) Harat. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 3rd St., Troy with Pastor John McCauley officiating. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A Parastas service will be held at 5 p.m. with Fr. Mikhail Myshchuk officiating. Mary Anne and Amy wish to extend a heartfelt thanks to Bob and Marlene Harmon for giving us the adventures of a lifetime. Also, Dr. Roberta Miller, Robin Connolly and Dr. Daniel Silverman for the exceptional care and to Michael O'Brien a longtime family friend who we will be forever grateful to for his years of support.
