I worked with John for several years on the Kenai Peninsula when we were both with Marathon Oil Company. For several years after he retired, I would run into John on the Peninsula during the summer and it was always a pleasure to visit with him. John was a mechanical maintenance expert, he was a good leader and manager, he was polite and well spoken, he was a gentleman, and all in all he was a good man. My condolences to Pat and the entire family. Brent Senette

Pat,
Very sorry to hear about John. I flew John on many trips for Marathon. We also fished and hunted together a number of times in the 70's and 80's. The last time we saw you and John was in Reno in the mid-nineties. I can't say enough about the man. He always had the upmost integrity in any business dealings I had with him, and also a extremely likeable individual. God Bless. Dave & Sammie Diamond
