AUGUSTA, Ga. - David Via, age 54, of Augusta, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elsie Vest Via. He is survived by a brother, Mike (Rebecca) Via of Augusta and Evan Via of Arnold, Maryland; 2 nieces, Elizabeth Corbitt of Augusta and Leah Via of Augusta; 1 nephew, Timothy Via of Augusta. Also survived by great nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Monday 10 am to 11 am at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., Hwy. 25, 30906, 706.798.8886 with services to follow at 11 am with Dr. Ted Oellerich, officiating. Burial will be in Hephzibah Vance Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Via, Bucky Corbitt, Jeremy Brown, Tim DeJung, Greg Hilton and Bo Connally.
