GIBSON, Ga. - Mrs. Nancy Strunk Landers, 66, entered into rest June 28, 2014. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Watson officiating. Mrs. Landers was born in Revelowe, KY and was the daughter of the late Luther M. Strunk and the late Grace Stephens Strunk. She lived in Thomson, GA many years before moving to Gibson several years ago. Mrs. Landers worked as a waitress with Western Sizzlin and retired from Michael's Restaurant. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Thomson. Survivors include her son, Paul Rogers (Melissa) of Gibson, GA; daughter, Paula Williams (Maurice) of Grovetown, GA; brothers, Gary Strunk, Phillip Strunk of Kentucky; sisters, Wilma Howard, Doris Taylor, Glena Perry of Ohio, Betty Tapley, Connie Martin of Kentucky; grandchildren, Ryan Rogers, Josh Rogers, Catholine Owens, Savannah Cook, Lillie Cook and great grandchildren, Julia Rogers, James Rogers and Paisley Owens. Mrs. Landers was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Ruth Rogers and her husband, Ronald Landers. In addition to flowers, it is the family's request that memorial contributions be made to CareSouth Hospice, 231 Fury's Ferry Rd., Augusta, GA 30907. Friends may call at the residence of Paul and Melissa Rogers, 3944 Irby Rd., Gibson, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, GA is in charge of arrangements.
