Ruben L. Villarreal, 86, was born in New Braunfels, Texas. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, January 4, 2015. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Olga J., his daughters Yolanda, Stephanie, son David G, and grandchild Tristan A. He is survived by his sons Ruben R., Victor G. (Gloria) and daughters Maria Teresa (Santiago) and Olga Priscilla (Joe), his brothers Raul, Ramiro, Ricardo, Rodolfo and sisters Velia and Rosie. Ruben was a cabinet maker by trade and he could make just about anything out of wood. His passions were family gatherings, playing pool and dominoes. He always said "It's not so much about the occasion but rather the company of family and friends". He was loving, caring and a very humorous and witty man that could brighten anyone's mood simply with his presence. We love you and will miss you greatly Daddy. Rest in heavenly peace and know that you left us with beautiful memories that we will cherish and hold dearly in our hearts. There will be a visitation/Rosary on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 5-00 - 9:00 pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. There will be a service on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
