1931-2015
Alexine Strum Ingraham, 84, passed away January 19, 2015 in a Pasadena Hospital. Born in Pt Arthur January 14, 1931 and grew up in Beaumont. Attended Univ. of Texas 48-50 and graduated from the Univ of Houston, Retiring in 2008 after a long career in Strum Real Estate and Insurance companies. Past President of Houston Yacht Club Ladies Assn., member LaPorte Bayshore Garden Club, Shoreline Art League, Bay Area and Morgans Point Heritage Society, Ladies Reading Club,Mayor of LaPortes Committee plus other Civic Activities, Longtime member of LaPorte United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by parents Forrest E. and Eva Myer Moss and husband Ken Strum. Survivors include husband Dick Ingraham, step children Bill Walker and wife Janet, Rev Arnold Walker and wife Judy, Bill Baker and wife Dianne, Brother Gene Moss and wife Betty, nieces and nephews Craig Moss and wife Lynn, Layne and Karen Tubbs, and Mary Kathryn Moss, cousins Sam and Sue Burnett, Keith Griffin, Elaine Karman.
Services are to be January 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist in LaPorte with a reception to follow. Family will receive friends at the Church from 6-8 PM Wednesday Jan 21, 2015.
In lieu of usual remembrances donations may be made in Alexine's name to the First United Methodist of LaPorte or the charity of your choice.
