RIKER JAMES EDWARD, Jr.
Age 83, of Espyville, PA, formerly of Glen Osborne, PA, died Saturday, May 30, 2015, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Born February 6, 1932, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late James Edward, Sr., and Dorothy Myrtle Logan Riker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country in the Korean War, and a member of the Sewickley United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Edith A. Riker; a daughter, Diane Riker; three sisters, Emmalu McIlwain, Blanche Slates, and Roberta Gorring; and two brothers, William Luxon and William Riker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Giordona; and a brother, Jack Riker. Friends will be received on Friday, June 5, 2015, from 4-8 p.m. in the RICHARD D. COLE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 328 Beaver St., Sewickley, PA 15143, where a service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association, 810 River Ave., Suite 140, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
