EVANS, Ga. - Mr. Richard Brinkley, 76, beloved husband of Sandra W. Brinkley of 58 years, entered into rest, Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at his residence. Mr. Brinkley served in the U.S. Army and retired from Olin Chemical. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid golfer and sports fan. Family members in addition to his wife, include his children: Ginger Brinkley, Tonya Lord (James); his grandchildren: Jessica Perara (Matt), Daniel Lord; his great grandchildren: Matthew, Olivia, and Charlie Kate Perara. A special thank you goes to the CareSouth Hospice Team for their loving care and support. A funeral service will be held today at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Robert Patton, of Modoc Baptist Church and Chaplain Wayne Bruner, of CareSouth Hospice officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Augusta Chapter, P. O. Box 3284, Evans, GA 30809, 706-733-4190, in honor of Charlie Kate Perara.
