AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Geneva Dunn Johnson entered into rest Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Doctors Hospital. Mrs. Johnson was born August 31, 1922 in Columbia County. She was a member of Mount Enon Baptist Church, where she attended until her health failed. Mrs. Johnson retired from the Veteran Administration Medical Center. In her free time, she enjoyed baking pies and cakes. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death was her husband, James Johnson; her parents, Mr. Abe Dunn, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Bell Reese Dunn; two children, Minnie Louise Henderson and Eva Mae Henderson; and her only brother, Marion Dunn. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 2, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. from Mount Enon Baptist Church with Reverend John Harmon, pastor-officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Survivors are her daughter, Christine (Doyle) Dent, Appling, GA; grandchildren, Tammy (William) Blackburn, Pittsburgh, PA, Tyson Dent, Appling, GA; Tonya Dent, Hephzibah, GA, Todd (Katrina) Dent, Grovetown, GA, Tyler Dent, Evans, GA and Travis (Tamilla) Dent; eleven great grands, sisters- in-law, Marjorie Turner, Augusta, GA and Thelma (Willie) Trottie, Augusta, GA; niece and caretaker, Patricia Johnson, Augusta, GA; dearest friends, Dorothy and Isaac Jackson, Edgefield, SC.; Theresa Evans, Augusta, GA and Mamie Johnson, Augusta, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
