My condolences to the family of Dr. john Lang. When I started as an OB nurse at St. Peter's, he was one of the nicest and best OB doctor's to work with. He was superb with his patients-the real deal as a Doctor! We all knew he loved his residence on Lake George and he talked about it every summer. Rest in peace, John!

Dr. Lang was my OB/GYN from 1971 to 2005. There was no kinder, more respectful, knowledgeable doctor I have ever encountered to date. Despite his battle with MD, his kind, mild mannered demeanor never waivered and he always had a wonderful smile.
My sincere condolences to the family and his dear friends.

John Lang was my obstetrician. He was in practice at his Delmar office at the time and did most of his deliveries at St. Peter's. I am an Albany Med nurse and wanted to have my baby there. He said " let's do it" and we did! I ended up very sick with eclampsia. He sat at my bedside for 28 hrs. Staff thought he was my dad and not my doctor. That was 1992. I loved him. He became my friend and hero. I used to visit him and bring him and bring him goodies. We had a couple of long talks when his wife Susan was dying. He told me a very sad story about how he took his wife out for a ride in his row boat. He described how he looked at the shore and as the sun went down he wanted to stay in the bay because he knew it would be her last time on the lake. That story touched me.Every year I sent him Christmas cards and pictures of my boys. I was so happy when he again found love. Wonderful man. He made an amazing impact on me and I know I am just one of the many. Thankyou for sharing your dad, husband and grandfather with the rest of us

Rest in the peace you so richly deserve John. You were a skilled physician and had an infectious sense of humor that put many of our minds at ease during times when we needed it most. You were also a true gentleman. Many, many thanks on behalf of the thousands of women who were fortunate enough to be your patients!

My sympathy for your loss. I knew Dr. Lang when he and his family lived on Forest Road. I babysat for his boys when they were very little. I enjoyed greeting John when I returned to Albany and visited Westminster. May your memories sustain you.
