Herschell Weinberg Obituary

Herschell Wayne Weinberg
1933-2015
Hersh Weinberg, age 81, passed away in Houston, Texas on Thursday July 30, 2015. He lived his life in Houston and was involved with the Houston Chronicle newspaper from his early years when he had a neighborhood paper route delivering on his bicycle. When he began driving a car, he delivered papers to Houston's City Hall. He served his country in the U.S. Army where he spent time in West Germany in an infantry unit where he received a good conduct medal at discharge. After attending the University of Houston he eventually returned to the newspaper as manager of their Building Services Department, retiring after over 20 years in 1991. His next adventure led him to the Cliffwood School where he served as president of the C He was preceded in death by his parents Louie and Inez (Burnell) Weinberg, brothers Lloyd and Sidney Weinberg. Surviving him is his wife of 58 years, Donna R. (Shultz) Weinberg, son, Louis S. Weinberg, Sister in law & Brother in law Dr. and Mrs. A.J. and Myra (Shultz) Bahme of San Antonio and several Nieces, a nephew and cousins. Always missing him will be family, friends, neighbors and his special animal acquaintances. Graveside services were held Monday, August 3, 2015, at Emanu El Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that contributions be made to the charity of your choice or any Alzheimer's related agencies.
