John Mason, 88, died August 18, 2015.
A native of Culbertson, NC, he was a son of the late Julian G. and Hettie Mason, and was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Walker Mason.
Mr. Mason managed RC Cola for many years and worked for American General for over sixteen years. He was a member of Christian Life Worship Center.
Funeral Services will be Friday, August 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST with Revs. Morris Sapp and John Ingham officiating. Interment will follow in Colbert Cemetery.
Survivors include three children, Jo Mason; John (Marcia) Mason and Brenda (Bob) Cheatham; brother, Lewis Mason; two sisters, Doris Brown and Annie Mae Plott; grandchildren, Sheena (Grant) Moro, Lindsey Mason and Alisha Mason; two great grandchildren, Kaiya Beusse and Clayton Beusse.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

I just found out this was your sweet Dad, and that he worked at Independent or American General Ins for several years. I am so sorry to hear about this, I also just lost my sweet Mom June 29th--it is very difficult. Please take care-love you guys.

Sorry to read in paper this morning the passing of Mr Mason a very good person was my insurance man for years and bring us vegetable out of his garden WELL DONE MR MASON rest in peace.
