MITCHELL, Ga. - Mrs. Katherleen H. Cheely, 90, of Ga. Hwy. 102 West, entered into rest September 3, 2015. She was the widow of the late Benjamin Earl Cheely. Mrs. Cheely was born in Sparta, GA to the late Otis Chaffie Hinsley and the late Lillie Myrtle Babb Hinsley. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Peggy Cason (Veazey) of Thomson, GA, Polly Perkins of Sparta, GA; grandchildren, Shirley Black, Barbara Williams, Bonny Lindsey, James Perkins (Neva) and great-grandchildren, Nick Chalker, Dustin Cason (Kathleen), Sam Williams, Jonathon Downs, Brittany Lindsey, Katie Perkins, Harvey Perkins and great-great-grandchild, Jacob Cason. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Bethel Baptist Church, Hancock County, GA, with Rev. Randy Dunaway officiating. Interment will follow in the Dunn Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia, is in charge.
