David T. Crowley Sr.

1957 - 2015

Crowley, David T. Sr. MELROSE David T. Crowley Sr., 58, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy with his family at his side. Born in Troy on September 13, 1957, he is the beloved son of Mary Blanchard Crowley of Watervliet and the late Joseph J. Crowley Sr. Dave was raised on 7th Avenue in Watervliet and was a graduate of Sacred Heart of Mary School and Watervliet High School, class of 1975. He resided in Watervliet for many years before moving to Melrose in 2004. While growing up, Dave was a great baseball player and played for the Ashlines in the Watervliet Little League. He was a member of the 1970 All-Star Team that made it to the final game of the New York State tournament. He was employed by the former Marvin Millwork, Dorsey Millwork and Saginaw Millwork where he was shop foreman and operations manager for many years before they closed. For the past five years, he has been employed by CDTA as a bus operator. Dave loved hunting and fishing and was an avid New York Yankee fan. In addition to his mom, he is the loving husband of Julie A. Berry Crowley; devoted father of David T. (Melany) Crowley Jr. of Altamont; stepfather of David B. (Amanda) Kellerman Jr. of Schenectady; proud grandfather of Declan Connor Crowley and Kaiden James Crowley; dear brother of Joseph J. (Dawn) Crowley Jr. of Cohoes, Debra (Phil) Donato of Feura Bush, Barbara Crowley of Watervliet and the late Michael David Crowley; best hunting buddy of Phil Blanchard. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Parker Bros.
