You´ve been gone 9 years. Kirstie & TJ have been gone 16 very long, miserable months.
MJ turned 3. He´s a smart kid like his mama. I miss you all so much .

So much has changed. I guess you know because Kirstie & TJ are beside you now. I LOVE & miss you all so much. I´m struggling without you all but I keep going for MJ.
He just turned 2. He´s adorable in his Christmas pj´s. We´ve kept that tradition going . You would have been in love with him.

I miss you, Michael. You were my best friend.
You´d be so proud of Kirstie. She graduated from USC. And married TJ. He´s a great son-in-law. Kirstie has made him into a Disney fan like us. And you now have a beautiful grandson named after you. We call him MJ. Did you ever imagine being a grandpa? I know you would´ve spoiled him rotten. Rest in peace. I love you.

I just found out today that Michael had passed away. We knew each other through work, I was his local wine rep for a few years and used to visit him at the club very other week. I have to say, your son/father/husband was absolutely one of my favorite customers to call on. He always treated me kindly and always had a smile on his face when we met. We had many conversations about his family living so far way (as mine do too) and how much he missed them. He had so much love for this family and always talked about his daughter. We used to hold wine dinners at the club, and he was funny because he always kept me a plate of each course behind this curtained off section in the dining room, and he used to make me eat each course, I joked and said he was losing all this weight while he was making me gain all mine. I am sad to see such a kind hearted soul leave us so soon, he was dearly loved and I will really miss seeing his smiling face.

I'm so sad that this has happend to one of my coolest family members, my Uncle Mike. Even though our families haven't been able to be together because of moving so far away, the great memories will never leave my mind. Neither will the sense of closeness we all share. The best times of my childhood was spent with my family and Uncle Mike. I love you all and proud to be part of the Urquidez and Martinez family. Love Geri Urquidez Xxoo
