Couture, Richard R. COHOES Sadly we lost our beloved brother and son, Richard R. Couture, on January 28, 2016. Born in Cohoes, he was son of Albert E. Couture Sr., and the late Florence A. Giles. He was a 1975 graduate of Cohoes High School and was Emcee of his 1975 Classnight. He was definitely the life of the party. Rick served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1975-1977. He had been employed at the Delaware and Hudson Railroad and the Albany VA Hospital. He loved playing pickup basketball at Sunset Park with his friends, running, and was an avid Vikings and Bruce Springsteen fan. He was predeceased by his step mother, Joan Couture. Survivors in addition to his father, include his siblings, Albert E. Couture Jr., Connie (Meron) Shakow, Sandie (Tony) LePage, Bruce (Carol) Couture, Kevin Couture, and Christopher (Janice) Couture. Also survived by five nieces and nephews; and seven great- nieces and nephews, whom he loved with all his heart. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick's memory to Joseph's House in Troy, or the City Rescue Mission in Albany would be appreciated. "Be kind to one another." Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetey. Relatives and friends may call at the Marra Funeral Home, Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 5-8 p.m.
