Norma Webb Dalehite Smith, age 84, beloved mother, grand and great grandmother passed away peacefully on June 3, 2016 in Houston, TX. She was born May 20, 1932 to Terry Raymond Dalehite, Jr. and Mary Webb Dalehite in San Antonio, TX. She attended Incarnate Word High School, graduated from St. Henry's High School and attended the University of Texas in Austin, TX. Her working career included working as a real-estate broker and in oil and gas, hospitality and retail sales industries. As a lifelong democrat, she was passionately active as a precinct voting judge which was an accomplishment that she was very proud of because it enabled people of all backgrounds and political views to vote. She leaves behind her children Perry Rowan, Jr. and wife Charissa, James Allen, Terry Bruce Smith, all residing in Houston, TX, Jason Alexander Smith of Munich, Germany and Darlene Angwen and husband Russ Bowes of Fuquay-Varina, NC. The grandchildren are: Ryan, Shawn, Paris C. Smith; Amy Smith Johnson, Jeremy and wife Ashley Smith, Mary Amber and husband Barry Jones; Stephan W. Bekk; Timothy, Hannah, Matthew, Melody and Micah Bowes; Great grandchildren include Allison and Joshua Jones; Nieces and nephews; Michael, Cheryl, Mark and Martin Olle, Bobby and Betty Ann Opiela. She is preceded in death by her father, Terry Dalehite, Jr. and sister, Laura Olle and is survived by her mother, Mary Webb Strughold, her sister, Carol Opiela, half- brothers and sisters Terry "Trey", Rona, Cherokee, John, David, Stephen, Robin, Robin Jr. and Liza Dalehite. Norma will be greatly missed and remembered by her family as a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. We love you! A visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 6-7 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. - 8 p.m., in the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
