MILLER HAZEL MARIE (HECK)
On Saturday, August 27, 2016, Hazel Marie (Heck) Miller, born July 2, 1922. Hazel was predeceased by her husband, Elzy; her parents; and a grandson, Jeff Miller. She is survived by a daughter, Garnet (John) Ganzak; sons, William (Carolyn) Miller and Jerry (Colleen) Miller; grandchildren, Anthony (Amy) Ganzak, Pandora Howell, Ken (Donna) Leib, Jim (Corinne) Miller, Lisa (Bob) Derbis, Gerrie Lee (John) Smith, Dustin (Chrissy) Miller; 15 great- grandchildren; and four great- great-grandchildren. Hazel has been reunited with the love of her life, Elzy. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. in the HEARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4047 Perrysville Ave., Observatory Hill, 412-931-0200, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Hazel's name may be made to a charity of your choice. I'm sending heartfelt condolences for the loss of your grandma. I have a lot of good memories of swimming in her pool for hours. She was a staple to the avenue and she was the epitome of a true Northsider!
