Ruby Carwile Obituary

Ruby Annie Carwile
1927-2016
Ruby Annie Hall Carwile, born June 4, 1927, left this Earth and went to Heaven on October 31, 2016. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Joseph Frederick (Fred) Carwile Sr. She is survived by the children she adored – son Joe Carwile Jr and wife Marion, son Mark Carwile, daughter Virginia Dennard, and daughter Becky Denton and husband Scott. She was blessed with lots of grandchildren – Trina and husband Matthew, Kimberly, Colby, Myatt, Micah, Kali and husband Austin, Tyler, Ashley, and Savanah and even great-grandchildren – Lee, Isabella, Clare, Abigail, Kennedy, and Camden. The oldest of eight children, she is preceded in death by her father, mother, a brother, a sister and is survived by a brother and four sisters.
Ruby's life was full. As a full-time homemaker and mom, her job never ended. She raised her children by her faith in Jesus & serving others. As a longtime member of the Baptist Temple Life Line class, she chaired the Thanksgiving can drive to provide meals to needy families for many years. She loved to grow vegetables in her garden and her green grass and beautiful flowers were the envy of all. She and her husband were avid Square Dancers; many of their years were spent swinging their partner, promenading, and do-se-do'ing. Her love of travel brought her around the world – Europe, Israel, Greece, Australia, New Zealand, & Alaska. Her children and grandchildren loved her Thanksgiving dressing with giblet gravy, baked chicken, fried shrimp, and rice Krispies treats. Purple was her color of choice whether it be flowers, clothes, socks, or jewelry.
She will be missed by all who loved her. She touched many lives in her 89 years, blessing them with her love, service, and charity. Her reunion in Heaven with her husband, Fred, and those she loved who passed before her is a celebration. Her eternity will no doubt be filled with dance and fields of purple flowers.
