Dolores Verastigui, born on March 17, 1932 in Laredo TX was called to be with the Lord on December 25, 2016 at the age of 84. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco De Luna and Adela Martinez. She is survived by her husband, Francisco Verastigui; children Francisco J. Verastigui (Diana C.), Hector Verastigui (Diana Y.), Jaime Verastigui (Vicky), Mary Ann Tey (Louis), and Ruben Verastigui (Sandra); grandchildren, Roxanne Granados, Hector Anthony Verastigui, Valerie Galindo, Frank C. Verastigui, Kelly Contreras, Louis Angel Tey, Christopher Verastigui, Aaron Verastigui and Jamie Verastigui; great-
grandchildren, Leandra Rodriguez, Jesse Verastigui, Christian Rodriguez, Viviana Barrera, Madelyn Verastigui, Elisa Verastigui, Christopher J. Verastigui, Tiffanny Galindo, Lyla Galindo, Kiera Contreras and Austin Angel Tey and sister, Alicia Farias. The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 Mass of the Resurrection at St. John Berchmans' Catholic Church, 1147 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78226. I am so sorry for your loss and all of ours as well. I have so many good memories of spending time with your family with my Grandma Aurora and Grandpa Reynaldo. I know that my mother Margie wishes she could be here, but is unable to make it to Texas. Tia Lola and Tio Pancho were always so much fun to be around. Both of them only shared joy and happiness with everyone. Some of my best memories are of Christmastime and our visits. She will always have a very special place in my heart. May Tia Lola rest in peace and your family find comfort in knowing she is at peace in this difficult time. I pray God keeps his loving arms wrapped around each of you, especially Tio Pancho. My prayers are with the Verastigui family. She and her husband were my Godparents. They were both at my Wedding in San Antonio in 1990 and I have since lived in Oklahoma. Please express my condolences to my Godfather. My mother and father have since passed away Alberto and Maria Uriegas.

To my Verastigui cousins, I'm sadden to hear of Tia Lola's passing. I have memories of going to San Antonio. Tia's house was always a heart warming place to visit with her and Tio there to make me feel welcomed. I'll miss Tia and remember her when in town. May God Help all family and friends to be strong during these follow days of mourning. R.I.P. Tia Lola.
