Harriet Ellen Miller

Nov 16, 1917 - Dec 29, 2016

Harriet Ellen Miller passed away peacefully at the age of 99 in Vancouver, WA. Harriet was born in Ft. Wayne, IN to Harry Gottlieb Krudop and Edna Mae Harris.

Harriet moved to her beloved San Francisco in 1950 where she raised her family. She worked as a bookkeeper at Byron's Shoe Store and later retired from Ransohoff's as its VP. She pursued her dream of a college degree to graduate at 84 with honors from SF State Univ. Harriet loved her family and friends and was a fan of the SF Opera and Neil Diamond. She enjoyed painting, gardening, travel and a good cappuccino. Kindness was her life's motto. She was loved and admired by many and will be greatly missed.

Harriet is survived by her sister, Virginia, daughter, Kathleen, grandchildren, Rachel, Daniel, Michael and Matthew, great-grandchildren, Lauren, Hannah, Eleanor, Elizabeth, Oliver and Duncan, great-great-grandson, Caleb. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence S. Miller, daughter, Patricia, and siblings, James, Margaret, Anne, Adeline and Bea.

A memorial will be held on Sat, Feb 4, at 11:00 a.m. at The United Church of Christ, 439 N Cloverdale Blvd, Cloverdale, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the SF SPCA.
