David M. Arcellano known as RC to his friends, died suddenly, age 58 in San Francisco on July 22, 2017. He was born in San Francisco on October 29, 1958 to Rodrigo E. Arcellano and Lucrecia Aquino Arcellano both who predeceased him. He is survived by his sister, Linda Arcellano Shaw of Peekskill, NY; brother in law Thomas Shaw; and nieces Catherine and Elizabeth Shaw. Other family who survive him are his cousins Cora and Manuel Decena and their children. He is also survived by his GSA family and many good friends.
David was a 28 year Leukemia Survivor after undergoing a bone marrow transplant in 1989. He was a Lowell High School graduate. He earned his BS in Accounting from Golden Gate University. He was a Financial Management Analyst in the Office of Telecom Services in the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), General Services Administration (GSA). David, an avid sports fan, played basketball in high school and later took up running and golfing. He was a devoted fan of the Warriors, the San Francisco Giants, the San Jose Sharks and was a collector of sports memorabilia. He enjoyed giving his annual barbecue to which many came and loved his annual trip to Las Vegas with some of his GSA buddies. David was also a foodie and kept abreast of the current food trends in San Francisco.
David was generous to a fault and loved it when people had a good time as a result of his generosity. He had a humorous side to him and enjoyed springing surprises on unsuspecting friends. David was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

My deepest, deepest condolences to RC's family and friends.
I had gone to school with RC at Lowell in San Francisco. He was always a fun loving guy and would tease me that I had received a "B" grade from a teacher that was known to give all of his students an "A" grade for just showing up. It was our own inside joke. Regrettably I had not kept in touch with RC for quite some time after moving from San Francisco over 25 yrs ago.
RIP RC, the world is a little less happier without you...

RC, you were everyone's friend, but managed to always make me feel I was the only one when we were together. Easily one of the best people I'll ever know. Until we meet again, I'll know it's you when I hear, "I'll Stop The World And Melt With You" in the distance.
Love, Eileen Doherty

This is really a tough one. Knowing you all those years, talking about the Giants, kidding each other, and trying to talk you into umpiring softball. You will be so missed. You were one special guy - take care my friend.
