Felicitas Martinez Obituary
Felicitas V. Martinez went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2018 at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Martinez; parents, Jose and Teresa Velez; numerous sisters and brothers. Felicitas is survived by her children and their spouses, Mary Jane and George Macias, Margaret and Robert Perez, Rebecca and Tomas Aguilar; granddaughter Krystal and Leroy Perez; brother and sister-in-law Jesse and Olga Velez. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Jayasree N. Rao and Staff, for the excellent care they provided giving her extra years of life. Visitation will begin 4:00 pm Monday, January 29, 2018 at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N. Main Ave. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A procession will depart the funeral home at 9:00 am Tuesday, January 30, 2018 for a 10:00 am mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Von Ormy.

Our deepest sympathies to the family, especially to Jesse Velez. May God give you the comfort and peace that you seek and may the soul of Felicitas rest in peace in her heavenly home.
At this difficult time in your life, we pray that God will grant you the serenity and peace that you need to get through this. Stay strong and know that you are remembered in our thoughts and prayers.
Felicitas was such a gracious lady - very kind and loving. We will remember her for those special qualities.

My sincere condolences to Felicitas's family. My wife and I would exchange greeting to her when visiting the Oncology SA Clinic every week.
My wife, Consuelo Martinez, would have more conversations while receiving their treatments. It was like a family coming together every week at the Clinic.
Since then, my wife too has passed.
I know the pain and sadness Felicitas's family is going through at this time. Please know that I prayed for her and the many other patients, including my wife while I spent many hours in the waiting room for the last 8 years.

My Baptismal GodParents were always SO GOOD to me. They LOVED me all of my life, and were always kind to me. I have good memories of the times I spent with them! Now my GodMother Felicitas Martinez joins my GodFather Santiago "Jimmy" Martinez in their NEW LIFE with God. May they forevermore be at PEACE in the presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ, amid their Loved Ones already there.May they now live in the astonishing JOY, GLORY, and BEAUTY of Heaven! We LOVE them, we MISS them, we REMEMBER them, we continue to PRAY for them, and we look forward to the DAY when we will be with them, and all our Faithful Departed, in the House of the Lord. For those Saved by Christ, at the moment of Passing, we close our eyes to this life, and open them to the NEXT!
