Dear Jean, Mark, James, Patrick, Jeannie and Maryanne,
I will never forget how kind and how full of enthusiasm Mr. Sullivan was. The Sullivan parents made Elena Circle feel like a safe and fun Village in which we could grow.
Each of you carries forward some of the beautiful qualities of your father; his intelligence and his whit; his kindness and his genuine interest in listening to and lifting the kids in the neighborhood; his dedication to, and his love for his family, which was beautiful gift to witness. And so in that, Mr. Sullivan lives on in you and in generations to come. We are grateful to him and to your family for the difference that he and Jean and all of you have made. Surrounding you with love,

Dear Sullivan Family,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathies for the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. My time with Jim was a short period in the early 80s, yet he left a lasting impression on me as a warm, welcoming and sharp-witted gentleman. Anytime I saw him, I always knew I was in for his mischievous banter.
It was by pure coincidence that I ran across Jim's obituary, and I view it as both a blessing and an opportunity to reconnect with this awesome family and one of my dearest friends, in particular.

My sincerest sorrow for your loss. Although our families only got together on a few random occasions? "Papa Jim" always allowed for fun to be had for all. Have only kept in touch with Jeannie but through her? Know you are all heartbroken. Much love to all.

While our paths never crossed, we both were born and raised in San Francisco and attended Lowell High School, although James was 6 years ahead of me. Also, we both lived in Terra Linda/San Rafael. I was there from 1058 to 1962 at 318 Holly Drive, before moving to a new Eichler in Upper Lucas Valley in 1962. That was one year after the Sullivan home was built in 1961,'My heart goes out to Jean and the family for the loss. God Bless You, Rick Bradley
