Edward Bravenec Obituary
1930-2018
Dr. Edward Victor Bravenec of Seabrook, Texas—a metallurgical engineer with an accomplished career—passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018. He was 87. Bravenec was born on Aug. 25, 1930 in Temple, Texas to Edward Charles and Victoria (Kotrla) Bravenec. After graduating from Temple High School, he served in the U.S. Air Force, then earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at El Paso, a master's degree from the University of Houston and a PhD from Pacific Western University. He worked for decades at Armco Steel, and at Anderson and Associates, Inc. as vice president of engineering. In 1956, he married Aileen Doris Titsworth, who passed away in 2010. His sister Gladys Howard died in 2015. He is survived by his son David Bravenec and wife Solvej Schou; his brother Anton Bravenec and wife Merlene; his sister Nelda Roessler and husband Buddy; and loving relatives. A memorial service will be held June 9, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, in Webster, Texas.
