Rosalie A. Novak

Novak, Rosalie A. LOUDONVILLE Rosalie A. Novak went peacefully home to the angels after a long courageous battle with cancer on Friday, September 14, 2018. She was born on April 27, 1944, in Albany to the late Anthony and Josephine (Cimino) Audi. She was a 1962 graduate of Colonie Central High School and worked as a legal secretary for the N.Y.S. Public Employees Relations Board for many years. Rosalie loved to spend time with her husband and her family. She was beyond proud of her three sons and seven grandchildren. She tried to attend every event her grandchildren were involved in. Whether it was sports, music, or award ceremonies, she was always there. Rosalie loved to travel, visiting national parks, Europe, and spending many family vacations on the Jersey shore and in Florida. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could always make the people around her laugh. She had many beloved friends that she enjoyed going out to dinner, the movies, and traveling with regularly. She was a member of the Red Hatter's, the Ladies of Colonie Central High School Class of 1962, and The Ladies Birthday Club. She also volunteered at St. Peter's Hospital Gift Shop. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Pius X Church. She is survived by her loving husband of over 49 years, William R. Novak; her children, Mark (Kathy) Novak of Colonie, William A. (Carrie) Novak of Guilderland, and John (Amy) Novak of Guilderland; cherished grandchildren, Sarah, Samuel, Elizabeth, Kayla, Willow, Luke and Jason; her sister-in-law, Joyce Novak; brothers-in-law, Joseph (Peggy) and Raymond (Patricia) Novak; brother, John Audi; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Arthur Audi. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses on 5 McCauley at St. Peter's Hospital for their excellent care. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Rosalie's family on Monday, September 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Pius X Church, Loudonville, (please enter through the Chapel Entrance). Funeral services on Tuesday, September 18, at 9 a.m. at St. Pius X Church where her funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will be held in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery immediately following the funeral Mass. Those wishing to remember Rosalie A.
