Melissa McNichol Obituary
May 21, 1974 - Oct. 3, 2018
Passed away peacefully with her husband and children by her side on October 3, 2018 at the age of 44 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Beloved wife of Matt McNichol; loving mother of Reagan and Charlotte; adored daughter of Neil and Pat Marcazzo; beloved sister to Chris (Hannah), Jason (Stephanie); fun aunt to Jack, Lucy, Mason, Sophia, Ellie, and Felix; beloved in-law of Bob, Colleen, Rob (Lisa), Pat (Jessica).Melissa attended Rio Americano High School and graduated from University of Santa Barbara. After a short career in insurance, Melissa found her calling as a 7th grade English teacher at St Robert's School where proudly she was the best dressed. Melissa loved any book, but especially Shakespeare. She loved to have fun and travel. Her greatest love was her family whom she had many great adventures with.
Friends are invited to visit Wednesday, October 10, 2018 starting at 5:00pm at St. Robert's Catholic Church, 1380 Crystal Springs Rd. San Bruno where a Vigil Service will begin at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 10:30am at St. Robert's followed by a committal service at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma.

I think about Melissa nearly everyday I'm teaching.
She had such a wonderful gift in how she worked
with her students. Her excitement for literature
was contagious. The books came alive when she
taught about them.

Melissa was an incredible person. She made everyday teaching a joy. Her kindness & humor
was remarkable given the challenges she faced.
My thoughts & prayers are with Matt, Reagan,
Charlotte, her parents & all her family. Melissa
will be so greatly missed by her fellow teachers,
faculty & students @ St Roberts. She played such
a huge role in the lives of these young people.
Melissa was an inspiration as she battled so hard
over the past year. Her strength & courage was a
reflection of her faith. She's now @ peace with God.

We doctors and staff at PAMF Ob/Gyn, formerly Peninsula Women's Health are heartbroken to learn that Melissa has passed on. I have not seen her for a year or two but I will never forget her upbeat, positive personality. It was always a joy to see her in the office and to care for her pregnancies. I wish peace for Matt and her children. May her memory be a blessing.

Melissa was pure sunshine. Her smile was contagious. I saw her grow from a teenager to an incredible wife and mother. I didn't see her often after she left to attend college but I always kept up with her life through her parents. Attending her wedding, was an honor.
She was a warrior. I can remember her determination when she fought her first bout with cancer. I know she gave everything to this second bout. My heart goes out to her entire family and friends.
Rest in peace Melissa.
