We were very fortunate to meet Mike and join the Walker family when our daughter Ally married Doug. Since that day we looked forward to every family function because Mike and Mary were going to be there. Whether it was a birthday party or the kids game it was always great to spend time with Mike Walker. We miss him very much.

Mike was a funny, smart, and clever man! I so enjoyed discussing "politics and religion" with Mike. He was such a debater. His faith is what inspired me! He was truly faith filled. I shall miss him tremendously!

Mike was more than a coworker at Zapata, he became a close friend. He always had wisdom and good advice to give about work and life. Two of the qualities I admired most about Mike were his integrity and his ethics. We kept in touch from when the Zapata days ended more than 30 years ago, until now. I feel privileged to have known such a fine man, and I will miss Mike.

I was a client of Mike's in 1998, going through a career transition and job search after an unexpected layoff. More than twenty years later, I still fondly recall his calming demeanor and encouragement to just trust myself and work the process, keeping the ''balls in the air" as he put with regard to my job prospects. Sure enough, his wise counsel helped me to stay focused and looking forward, and I soon found myself with three offers to choose from in just over a month. Mike was one of those rare individuals I happened to come across at just the right time in life, albeit for a brief moment but leaving me so profoundly grateful for the experience to this day. Some may call it coincidence; I like to think it was God's way of remaining anonymous. Rest in Peace Mike.

So sorry to hear of Mikes passing. He and I were roommates our freshman year at Aggieland, and there was never a dull moment. When we werent fully engaged in surviving the sophomores in our outfit and keeping our grades in the passing category, Mike always had time for an encouraging comment such as fish Toole, why am I so handsome and youre so ugly? Everyone loved Mike, and he will be greatly missed.

My name is Norman Meyer I was an underclassman in G-1 with Dennis. He was class of 62 and I am class of 64. Our outfit won the General Moore Award in 62. Dennis was a senior that year and committed to us winning the award. He was always checking on our grades making sure we did our best in intramural s and march in's etc. He along with our CO John Imel led us to our success.
One of my highlights at A and M was winning the volleyball intramural championship in 62 check out our picture in the Aggieland. Dennis played a big part in that success.
Sometimes having been in the Corps it is hard to say that you really did like an upperclassman. I can say that I really liked and respected Dennis. We will always remember you and answer here for you at Muster. God Bless your family. Gig Em!

September 1973 Mike drove to TAMU for my first day in the corp of cadets. Just Mike and myself. He really made my transition easier. Then he treated me to the best BBQ ever at Washington on the Brazos. He will never be forgotten.

Growing up down the street from the Walkers and always playing with Doug, I can truly say that Mike was like a second father to me. I was always welcomed into their home and their family with open arms. I remember Mike as an exceedingly patient man who was always willing to listen and offer his wisdom when it was needed. When I was away at college and would come home to visit, my visit didnt feel complete without dropping by the Walker house to say Hi, and my visit would invariably involve some TCBY and some sage advise. Thank you Mike. You will be missed.

A close friend during our years together at TAMC. I'm saddened by Mike's passing (I knew him as Dennis). He was always a source of wise and honest counsel in all matters: personal, leadership, professional. He was always genuine and humble; and he had one of the best senses of humor I've ever experienced. I deeply regret failing to stay in touch after that memorable 40th class reunion. Take care, Mary, and I wish you well. My deepest condolences to you and your family.
