My Christmas Card to Rae this year was just returned to me here in Connecticut, USA. I had not sent out Christmas cards last year, because my husband was home on Hospice and died Dec. 26, 2020. My condolences to Alistair, Ann and Roderick. Rae and I met in 1956 at May & Baker in Dagenham, Essex. Then I married in Paisley July 1957, then Rae came up to U Glasgow and met and married John. We often stayed with you, when you were little, with my son and daughter, Craig & Sandra. Their Dad died in 1986 and in 1993 I married another Scot who I knew from Glasgow and had become a widower in 1982. We were visiting in Kingussie just a week or two before your Dad died. Then we stayed with Rae when we went to a Rotary Convention in Glasgow. We also met with her several times after that. The last time was in 2017 when we stayed with her at Hanover Court.

I also knew your Grandma and Grandpa Turnbull, because on a Saturday or Sunday I would go to their home and Rae and I would go for long walks in the park. It was Rae who introduced me to Strawberries and Devonshire cream!
It was a long friendship and I will certainly miss Rae.
