I did not know Gary well, but I have taught with his son Nathan for years. Nathan is as kind and patient and caring as any person I have ever known and I am sure that he inherited these qualities from Gary and Pam. Now Nathan and Janna are teaching their children that same love and kindness. God bless the Coates family. There will be a tree planted on the campus of Mason High School in memory of Gary.

A good man who I have always had great respect for. Always active in his church as a musician and deacon. Great family, friend, and Christian. Will miss him.
