I remember when Perry worked a summer job, while in high school, at Wendell's Bootery which was located in the Salem Mall back in the early 70's. The store manager at that time was Clark Ashworth, who was a good friend from Fairview High School.
Each of us had gone to Fairview High School, but were from different class years. We used to get together over the weekend, and spend time enjoying each other's company. Many of our get together events included making a dinner for us all then sitting down and enjoying the meal we had made for ourselves.
Perry was a good friend, from so many years ago when I still lived in Dayton, but one that I never forgot. Every once in a while, I would think about him, wondering whatever happened to Perry. I even looked for him several time on different social media outlets but to no avail.
I am saddened to learn of his passing. He died much too young. RIP bulldog!
