Patricia Foston Obituary

Patricia Foston
Nov 29,1946 - Sep 6, 2020
Patricia (Pat) Moran Foston, 73 of Stamford, mother to daughters Cheryl and Carolyn, grandmother to Aaron and Celeste, passed away after a long fight with breast cancer. Pat was born in Cambridge, MA to the late Henry A. Moran and Albertina (Mulcare) Moran and grew up in Longmeadow, MA. She graduated from the MacDuffie School in Springfield and received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst), with a semester abroad in Bologna, Italy and a semester at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. She obtained her Masters in Accounting from the University of Hartford. Pat then went on to hold a series of progressively more responsible accounting, auditing, and programming positions with Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies. Upon retirement she became a realtor and put her efforts into volunteering in the community.
In addition to these accomplishments, Pat will be remembered by those who know her well for her fun-loving and adventuresome spirit as well as her sense of responsibility, determination, and loyalty. Pat loved to travel, and ski and was always pursuing new interests. She will be sorely missed by her friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in Pat's memory to the Cove Neighborhood Association or the Stamford Senior Center.

Patricia Foston was a wonderful woman. She was generous and kind and cares about her neighbors, her town and her family. I enjoyed her company and we went to events together. Her lovely daughter Carolyn always helped me and is an adventurous traveler. Miss Pat.

A friend from long ago. We shared many fun times, skied together (she was way better!) and went on several trips. Thanks for fond memories, Pat. My condolences to her lovely daughters, Cheryl and Caroline.

Pat was a wonderful friend to me. We became friends when she invited me to joine dher in a meeting to save an old house on Seaside avenue. I went to lots of meetings with her and joined the fight to save the historic house. Pat's fierce fighting spirit and commitment to do the right thing
and to help others helped save the house and was in general a gift to all her friends and the community. She always offered good ideas, and support to me and others. She loved to travel and to learn new things, loved music and going to the symphony, the libraries, skiing, and had a vest for life. Even when she had the challenge of her illness she didn't let it stop her from going places she wanted to see. she traveled by herself and kept going to places that nourished her curiosity. she was a good citizen and had strong opinions. It is hard to believe she is not hre and I won't recevied her calls and good advice. She is missed but will always be in my heart. Her lovely daughters helped her always. Carolyn who lives in Stamford has been an exceptional daughter and helped her Mom with love and constant attention.

I knew her for only two years , but she had a unforgettable impact on me. Pat was not only my landlord but a LADY. She stand out as a landlord because she never harassed me for the rent, trusting me and understanding me. Pat like to connect people, so you do not feel lonely. Always sharing happy news and taking you out of your blues. The same way she planted beautiful flowers and harmonized them by color, the same way she wanted people to live in harmony around her. Pat always cheer me about my busy life and her last words ( I did not know their were the last she will tell me) were keep me update about your grades. I know your are a strong woman and you will make it. Patricia was special, I missed her a lot. My family and I loved you, and will never forget about you. May you Carolyn and Cheryl found here the expression of our compassion. God bless.
