Ed was my field instructor at the Division of Probation when I was a social work student at SUNYA. He was a gentleman and a scholar and I will always remember him for his soft spoken ways, his intelligence, and his caring manner. Whenever we met at colleagues over the years he was always interested in how my career was going. I remember him with great fondness.

What an amazing man. So incredibly accomplished. His love and passion for life long learning that was carried on to his children and grandchildren is such a beautiful testament to the man he was. The De Franco Family:
My condolences on the loss of your husband, father and grandfather.
A good, kind and highly intelligent man who was a professor and mentor of mine when, in the late 1970s, I was studying for a Master of Public Administration degree at S.U.N.Y. at Albany, N.Y..
Your feelings of loss must be overwhelming. May your periods of bereavement and grief be, mercifully, short.
God bless you all.

Angela, I was so shocked to see that Ed passed. My condolences to the family. He was a wonderful boss. I would have never gone to NYC if it weren’t for him. My prayer is for his family to receive comfort and peace.

Dear Angela,
I was so sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. He was a gentle soul that I was fortunate to have known. When I played bridge at the Jewish Community Center, I was always happy when my opponent was Ed. No matter how I played, he always had an encouraging word. His smile and warmth truly made for a better situation. His wonderful personality will be missed. He will always have a soft spot in my heart.
My thoughts and good wishes are with you, Angela, and your family. What great pair you were.
