Dear Mrs. Helen Senu-Oke,
Words cannot describe the shock and sadness that we felt when we received the melancholy news of Sina’s passing. We were disoriented in disbelief. He was a valued friend and community leader. Sina brought sheen and excitement to any social gathering. He added spackle to all events that he attended. He will be profoundly missed in our Nigerian community. Please take comfort in the Nigerian tradition of fellowship, which you fervently and outwardly embrace, to grant you solace at this time of immense sorrow. We shall keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

My sympathies to the family and friends of Dr. Ed. I met him at Joliet Junior College as a student and then as a staff member at the college. He was full of life and cared so much about people, etc. Prayers are with the family.

Wishing Edward's family peace and comfort during this difficult time. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I was the department chair at Joliet Junior College when Edward was hired to teach political science. However, he was more than a colleague, Edward was a valued friend.

Dr. Senu-oke was a favorite professor of mine. After being his student, I would often see him on campus and be greeted by a loud and happy “MY FRIEND! HOW ARE YOU?” What a wonderful soul he was to be greeted by. He was the kind of person this world needs more of: just so welcoming and kindhearted. I will miss him dearly. Thank you for being a light in this world. Rest In Peace friend.
