Geraldine STEELE Obituary
83, of Springfield, passed away peacefully in her home on
December 22, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Springfield, on June 27, 1937, the daughter of Jerome and Mary Schutte. She was preceded in death by Don Steele, her loving husband of 41 years. For well over 40 years, Jerrianne devoted
herself to a life of service, working and volunteering in
various capacities for St. Teresa School and Parish. When she wasn't cross stitching beautiful decorative quilts, she tirelessly baked cookies, and her much prized pecan rolls. A skilled
calligrapher, many special invitations were sent with her
lovely penmanship gracing the envelopes. She truly enjoyed tending to her garden, watching sports, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her sister,
Rosemary Digan; children, Christine (Jami) Weaver, Jerome (Tanya) Steele and Brian (Vicki) Steele; grandchildren, Justin (Laken), Zack, Sophia, and Luke; great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Aylin, and several nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial
donations may be made to St. Teresa Church. Condolences may be sent to the family at conroyfh.com. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.

Met her when I was working on the Anton house next door. One of the most pleasant woman that I ever came in contact. Loved talking to her and her smile was infectious. The world needs more people like her.

I am so sorry to hear of Geraldine's passing. I remember as a young girl going into her office to see her at St. Teresa. She had a soft spot for me because we were distant cousins. She was always so nice and loving. Condolences to her family.
