Alfred Asciutto
Alfred Asciutto, 98, of Norwalk, died peacefully at home on December 26, 2020 with his loving wife Joan by his side. Alfred was born in the Bronx, NY, and was the son of the late Bindo and Josephine Asciutto, he was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. Alfred served in the U.S. Coast Guard from October 1942 to March 1946 when he was honorably discharged. During that period he served on the USS LST 202 and participated in the naval battle of Leyte Gulf. Alfred was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a volunteer at the Norwalk Hospital, in medical records.
He worked at H.J. Baker & Bro. Inc. starting in 1973 until his retirement as chief accountant.
Alfred is survived by his loving wife Joan and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to Covid restrictions, a Funeral Mass with military honors will be held at St. Mary Church, by invitation. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association (Heart.org)
